"He's an old fashioned British-style Butler..."
John Cleese

"Another thing about Fable is the humor. People have said: "Ah, it's British Humor, it's a bit like Monty Python", so we were inspired by that, so we went out there and we got the most iconic Monty Python character ever. John Cleese is one of the major players in Fable III."
Peter Molyneux.

I play Jasper, who is the Butler at the Royal Palace, he was originally Butler to the King, who has gone all wrong, and now he's the great and faithful and loyal attendant to the young fellow who's gonna become a Hero or young girl who's gonna become a Heroine.

He's a little bit formal, because he's an old fashioned, British-style Butler, but the warmth and the emotional identification (will it be hero or heroine) is very strong.

"Your Butler will be very unique to you: he's recording more lines than almost anyone else in the cast because of that."
Peter Molyneux

The trouble with most leaders is that ultimately they just want to be in charge... They may cover it up and they're feeling they want to do good and make changes, but basically they just like being top dog.

"Halfway through the game you become king or queen. You rule Albion.... We've all asked ourselves this question: 'Well, if I was in control, I would change this.' Now, with Fable III, you have that choice."
Peter Molyneux
