Chasing Amy -- Miss Huberman strikes a pose for charity...

For the past few weeks they have been secretly making their way up to his photographic studio near Dublin's St James's Gate - Michael Fassbender, Jedward, Westlife, Louis Walsh and some yet-to-be revealed names in an A-list of Irish entertainment royalty.

Anyone who's anyone wants to be in it because, when it comes out later this year, it will define just who is a celebrity in this country.

We're talking, of course, about photographer Barry McCall's forthcoming book featuring studies of the famous.

One of Ireland's leading stills photographers, whose subjects have included U2, Colin Farrell and Amy Huberman (right), is celebrating 20 years behind the camera with a special volume of photographs in aid of the ISPCC.

Barry told The Diary: "We've done a good few people already and most of my time over the next few months will be taken up with it. It's coming out in October and we're planning a big launch."

The 42-year-old, whose work has featured in Vogue and Rolling Stone, got the inspiration for the book from talking with girlfriend Carrie and his pal, hairdresser Dylan Bradshaw.

"I wanted to do something to mark my 20 years in photography and this came up as an idea. We got Caroline Downey involved and from there it's blossomed," he said.

Wife of MCD's Denis Desmond, charity-fundraiser Downey has been helping secure big names for the book which, it's said, will also feature some international faces, jetting into Dublin especially.

"Everybody contacted has been fantastic. I'm can't imagine what it's going to be like laying out this book because we will have so many great shots to chose from," added McCall.
